Flan - self control can only go so far. Bloodied and bruised, and you still did nothing?

That would be a death sentence in my book.

There was no point. one of me and four of them, i was always going to come out worse. not caving in to their wish to fight was the most pain i could cause them. doesn't mean i didn't think about tracking them down and murdering them later. i actually have a scar on my face in the shape of a sovereign ring.

In the end a large group of skaters saw what was happening me and threatened to lay into the guys with their boards - the wimps legged it, didn't like it when the odds were reversed.

A valid point. Self control and rational thinking....admirable combination sir!

While I fully condone self-defense, especially when someone grabs your throat, I think you showed poor judgment. Who in their right mind yells at drunks and expects them to show restraint? You might be "technically" justified, but it sounds like it might not matter. I wish you the best of luck, and with 9 priors, you'll need it.

  6. I thought they had some wierd laws over there, that once you hit a certain number of "convictions" you were deemed a "habitual" criminal, and they locked you up and threw away the key?

In some states it's called the "three strikes" clause. It allows the judge to throw the book at you and give you the maximum possible sentence. Two priors and a third time charged is all it takes.

Well, if you're in the US and you're a convicted felon, you shouldn't HAVE a gun. That would be some serious hard time, moreso than assault and battery. I have to disagree with the fact that all you have to do to drunken idiots is just push them over. If this were the case the phrase 'bar brawl' would be changed to 'vomitous drooling ballet.' Next time, just open the door, (have your girlfriend who hopefully isn't a convicted felon) locked, loaded and ready when things geat heavy. When these idiots brake the plane and enter your space, have the gf unload. For the best legal defense I recommend making sure the bodies fall INSIDE your apartment, calling the police afterward and saying that you were startled out of bed and immediately ran to open the door to see what the commotion was before you realized what was going on. No need to look like you provoked them.

    My fee is $200/hr.
Nothing can stop me now, 'cause I don't care anymore.
