Normally here work chugs along until I receive a fire drill because some one else sucks at time management...now its up to me to come thru and get something done... I hate that bullshit. Why should I be made to suffer because of someone elses poor time management skills.

  4. What I normally do is e-mail it to whoever it is who set the assignment, then get them the hard copy. If the hard copy is late, they can't say you had extra time to do it since they already have an electronic copy for comparison.

Since I am currently at uni, it isn't a problem. I get things in the day before.

I have a sign that hangs behind my desk that reads:

I also have a sign hanging on the front of my desk that reads:

  7. It wasn't really my fault though that it was cut so close, I just got put into a group of slackers and morons.

I hate doing group assignments. We agreed to split the assignment in equal parts, so what happens? I end up doing about 75% of the work.

    shoozleboy - alright I hear you <brrrrrrrummmmmmmm.....fires up photoshop>

Pacmania - I don't really know how to tell you this, but you are exactly the type of student that I always looked for in a group member. You did 75% of the work and while I may be a slacker I still only did 8.3333% of the assignment and we received the same grade.....so I would have to ask you Pac, who's really the moron?

  12. Doesn't worry, their are some measures in place now to compensate who does the work and punish those that don't.

Since you have a nice clean yard, why not turn it into a landfill?

I do have cable and I do have a 3 1/2 year old son. I have to be very careful. Not only do I have to worry about the pay channels (which I enjoy watching after he's in bed), I have to worry about primetime network channels. I don't want my son some day coming up to me and saying " ... WTF Dad ..." or "Did you see that F***'in catch that guy made ...". Call me old fashion but I just don't like foul mouths on teenagers or young adults.

I have to agree, foul mouths on children is not funny at all. Trust me when old geezers hear your children sound like street hookers, we wonder how could you possibly raise them that way.
    Hello.

  26. I do agree that is is good to raise children to respect the fact that foul language is indeed foul, but you cannot do this by non-exposure. That is impossible. Instead, they should be taught that bad language is the crutch of the feeble mind. I was, and I keep my posts clean.

However, I have no objection to someone reinforcing something they are saying with strong language. I think there is a difference between strong language and foul language.

Send them where you want, just make sure everything they learn can be repeated in mixed company.
