I have a tv series that i want to convert to dvd and burn.
the files are all encoded in ogm with divx for video, and ogg vorbis for audio. the video is giving me no problems. i've already converted that via tmpgenc. the problem I have is with audio. i extracted the audio stream into wav format via wirtualdubmod. the problem arises when i attempt to convert the wav files to ac3 audio using besweetgui or even ac3machine. as soon as the ms-dos windows pop ups for conversion. it crashes, doesn't even start the conversion. no log file is created at all. i've been able to do the above to the audio from another source. it just seems as though i can't convert these perticular wav's to ac3.
also, I could not find any other progams to do the conversion i want, so i'll take those suggestions aswell. if anyone has any ideas. let me know.

  2. Did you try open Wav file and play it see it it ok first. WIth VirtualDubMod, Go to Streamlist and Demux the audio as it, dont save it as wav.

ffmpeggui may well do the trick - it certainly encodes WAVs to AC3. Not sure if your WAVs are any different...
