I am looking to buy a new capture card and was just wondering wat composite means. Is it the yellow video wire that comes with the red and white audio ones? please help![]()

If you dont have an vcr/planning to buy one that have s-video output its composite you have to go with.
Bcus i could only output in black & white on my old vcr tru scart adapter then i bought an svhs vcr with s-video output on the back then i got colourinto my tvcard. -
Composite should be better than RF, by which I'm assuming you mean a signal modulated to a TV channel. I had to read about scart as I'm in Canada and scart is European. From what I can gather, a scart connection can be composite, component or S-video. Check out this document and the second page under RGB. http://www1.jaycar.com.au/images_uploaded/videosig.pdf
