  1. Hey guys...heres the deal:

    I have tried encoding a DV file to DVD using TEMPGenc using ES and System setting and getting the same results. The ripped DV avi file contains audio, but cane not rip the audio using VirtualDub...i get a silent 4 second clip, same with TEMPGenc Wav rip tool. Maybe this is a simple fix or maybe i should go into more detail. Please advise fellas, thanxs.

    I'm not really familiar with DV but maybe your DV file is the wrong type. In that case you need this Ulead DV Type 1 to DV Type 2 Converter. There's a similar tool from Canopus as well.

    VirtualDub and TMPGEnc will only support DV type 2 format.

    If your files are DV type 1, try the converter; but keep in mind that if the video file is too big, the converter will not work properly.

    Try re-capturing your movie in a DV type 2 file. Use WinDV for the capture.

  4. I did use WinDV, and also tried windows movie maker aswell. The file as far as i know is Type 2. Any other suggestions?
