Problems with xvid

Trying to convert an XVID file to dvd. first of all nero Express will read the file but when putting chapters in, the film & sound go out fo sync, this is a general problem im having with nero Express with any mpeg.
When I try using tmpgenc plus it says file not supported & when I try using tmpgenc xpress it says the video file is not supported. The file i'm trying to convert is:

File : 700 MB (700 MB), duration: 1:28:36, type: AVI, 1 audio stream(s), quality: 52 %

Video : 619 MB, 977 Kbps, 25.0 fps, 592*240 (2.46:1), XVID = XVID Mpeg-4, Supported

Audio : 80 MB, 127 Kbps, 44100 Hz, 2 channels, 0x55 = MPEG Layer-3, Supported

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just installed a new codec, think it's sorted it.
