converted .avi to dvd with audio skipping problems

Hey guys,

Still kind of new to all this stuff, so please bear with me. I know how to convert files to dvd format, but now have ran into problems when trying to run it on my dvd player. It plays perfect for 5 seconds, then the audio starts to skip which triggers the video to skip with it. Maybe it's the video skipping, I'm not sure. I'm sure some of you guys know what might be going on here. Not sure if I have to tweak with the bitrate or what to do. Please help!!! I'll thank whoever can help me out in an advance, cause I would really appreciate the help.

Are you keeping it secret? How can anyone advise you how to fix your problem without knowing what you did and what programs you used?

ok, sorry about that. I've tried some different programs. last time I used Easy Video converter for the conversion and Instant copy (which works perfect for dvd rips for me) to burn the dvd format to dvd-r. I also have dvd Santa, Avi to vcd/svcd/dvd, and WinAvi which also have burning capabilities in them. Like I said, I'm kind of new to this stuff, so ask me wahtever you need to know to help me out. I convert to NTSC obviously (live in Canada).
