  1. i have TMPGEnc and im trying to concert a avi movie to mpeg so i can burn it to vcd but everytime i encode there is no sound on the movie,i don't no what am doing wrong is there another programe can can convert avi to mpeg? or is there a simple guide to using TMPGEnc ?

    convert the audio separate using for example ffmpeggui, open the avi, choose mp2, 44khz and 224 kbit. after multiplex/join the converted mpg with the new audio using tmpgenc, under file->mpeg tools->simple multiplexer

    or extract the audio to wav and use it in tmpgenc when you convert

    You may also want to try another encoder. MainConcept MPEG Encoder is a good choice.

  8. i figure it out and now my 698 mb avi file comes out 608mb mpeg and burn and plays great on my dvd player

    jyn999: PLEASE stop using the bbcode url for urls.......it doesn't shrink the longs urls...and no I can't fix it so it does.
