Hello,
I know that all the info I need is already on this site, but the problem is I am not exactly sure what to begin to search for.
I am looking to author my own DVD's. I want to be able to author DVD's with custom menus. Nothing to fancy but would like to be able to use my own backround wallpaper and music and have thumbnail pictures to click on and such. The video I am going to be using for these dvds is coming from a standalone DVD recorders.
So fromwhat I have been able to tell I am going to have to:
get software to put the dvd video on my computer and do the very light editing I wish to do. Which software should I maybe start looking into?
DVD Authoring, so may choices, where to begin?
Thanks for any help

tmpgenc dvd author or ulead dvd workshop. both can import and edit dvd from dvd recorders. ulead dvd workshop has more features but it is kinda expensive ($500).

DVD-lab is great, but if you already have Author you should try the Gui for DVD Author. It's freeware and allows you to do so much more than Author offers on it's own.
Fancy menus, subtitles, alternate audio, it's got you covered and some of this stuff DVD-lab won't even do. It's free so check it out."Rarely is the question asked: Is our children learning?"

Cool, I will go that route first. Was just looking for a couple options to begin getting my feet wet. Thanks!
