  1. i have d/l and installed virtualdub 1.5.10 , followed guide on this website, clicked file> open video file
it then 'parsed' avi (sorry can't remember exact wording)
i then clicked file > to amend video segment but it was not highlighted!!!
also i cant do a direct strream copy of the video as the source video stream uses compression algorithm not compatable with avi
i am really confused!! have i got the wrong version,or are the avi files corrupt, all codecs are present, will have to try filemerger if not successful

what is the source video? use gspot or avicodec to identify the source. just avi doesn't say much.

Sounds like you opened an MPEG file. Its append function won't work with MPEG files.

  5. I believe that TMPGENC will joing the two videos, just be warned that there may be an audio lagging/speed up issue where the 2nd video/audio starts.

I believe that an app called avi joiner will do what you want. I've never used it, but the app name cant just be a clever name. Can be found in the tools section.

Bin files are disk images. Isobuster is an extraction program. Itjust extracts the files that are in the disk images.

You can use Womble MPEG Video Wizard to join the two mpg files together without re-encoding (if they have the same properties). But why do you need join them?

www.svcd2dvd.com and you don't have to join, the author tool will join the video. you can also use tmpgenc dvd author if it is vcd or dvd-lab if it is svcd.

  10. hi-i used svcd2dvdmpg to convert the files, then authored with tempengc dvd author ,there was a slight pause as my player treated it as 2 tittles,i am thinking of donating to svcd2dvdmpg to get the authoring tool and see if it does a better job
