    How do I keep the aspect ratio in MainConcept MPEG Encoder, it is vital that my DVD is converted in 16:9 mode though... every time I try, the picture is just stretched to 16:9 not the real widescreen.

    Details->Advanced->Aspect Ratio->16:9.

    You must add black borders if you convert from avi/divx/xvid video with higher aspect ration than 1.85, under Details->Crop and Scale.

    simple, divide the width by the height of your input source, then divide 720 by the answer to give the correct height
