Anyone who is capturing with PowerVCR?

I was thinking to capture with PowerVCR mpeg2, PAL DVD format 352X576 and then use PVAstrumento to fix possible sync problems as indicated in the http://www.digitalfaq.com/capture/nonatimpeg/nonatimpeg.htm

Do you think is ok?
Any ideas about PowerVCRs settings? (I used bitrate 5000, B frame 2, P frame 4)

My problem is that trying to record a message is coming out saying
“S0028 : Unable to run caprure graph” while with other resolutions (352X288 etc) its working ok

Hi,

I capture with 352x240 regularly and for a long time I used my own program to correct the sync, but recently I found that the VideoRedo editor ( http://www.videoredo.com ) will automatically correct the sync from PowerVCR if you edit or run their streamfix program. It's a very nice editor with cusomizable buttons. I've used 1K, 3K and 4K bit rates with 1-2-4 IBP.

I have switched to mainconcept 1.4.2. I prefer the results.

But I still do not know what to do to stop taking the message “S0028 : Unable to run caprure graph” whan I m using 357X576 resolution with PowerVCR
Or just ignore this resolution and use 352X288? But isnt this giving poor results ?

You need to hack the registry of power vcr so be able to use 352 x 576. There are guides to do this, also visit the www.digitalfaq.com

But I have already hacked the registry! The program is just saying the message I was telling above...What the hells is the problem?

About mainconcept I ve already installed it. Thank you. You say that I should forget PVCR and the rest. Ok I will try it! No synk problems with it?

No synch problems with mainconcept. Audio / Video always match perfect.
