    1. Did you enter the exact path as in the screenshot or did you adjust it to match your computer?
    2. What do you mean by "tried a different DVD file"? Another DVD movie?
    3. If you meant a different DVD movie, did you rip the files from the DVD to your hard drive?

2.3. A different movie that was ripped to hard drive.

I want to start from scratch with my set up, what proggys doI need to down load?

Is decoder fix one of the programs needed?

should I extract all proggys in the same folder?

If you are using CCE SP 2.5 you only need set the path to EclCCE in the CCE SP 2.50 box or Rebuilder setup. The others boxes are for CCE Basic (does not need EclCCE) or for CCE SP 2.66 and above (EclCCE only for the trials).
If you have for example CCE SP 2.50 and CCE SP 2.66 trial in your computer, you need EclCCE for both, but they can not be the same EclCCE: You need two separated copies of EclCCE installed in different directories and each of them set to point to the corresponding version or CCE SP.

Second, you have to select in Rebuilder, in Options\CCE Options what version of CCE you are going to use.

What if I have CCe sp 2.50 retail version, do I still need EcLCCE file, also is avi syn 2.55 needed, if so where do i install the avi file?

The questions your asking ... did you read my post ???

PM me ... for my email address and I will send you a zip file containing the programs I used.

Your email came back non delivered.

    So ... try this instead

    ----------------------------------------------

Right-Click mouse button ... use option "save target as"

    http://home.pacbell.net/m4mach10/DVD_ReBuilder_0.64a___addons.zip

Note: ... there is not any warez in that zip file .... just an easier way to gather up the files all in one zip file. CCE encoder is not in that zip file.

  9. 1. Have you set DVD RB to automatically ignore foreign language audio and subpictures, and DTS audio?

    2. Go into Options, CCE options, Advanced (Expert) settings. What are your CCE customized settings?

    EDIT

Another member had the same problem with oversized files. Read this thread

There was a problem with AMD processors and another setting similar to but not this setting. Just do what Bull did and you should be OK.

All i did was put the check mark under AVS options

    Audiodub(blankClip())

    That was it.

  15. I use a VBR_BIAS setting of 5 Quality_Prec of 16 with 5 passes.

Have you set DVD RB to automatically ignore foreign language audio and subpictures, and DTS audio?

I also turned on Dynamically Assign Cell Bitrates.

    I did VBR=10, Prec=24, 4passes. Is this going to be a problem?

I don't think so because these settings are only fine adjustments for CCE. BULL also changed his CCE settings to match mine but only got DVD RB to work when he

All i did was put the check mark under AVS options

    Audiodub(blankClip())

    That was it.
Did you retry DVD RB after you made BULL's change? I hope you weren't waiting for my reply.

Look in the VIDEO_TS folder created by DVD RB. There should only be .IFO, .BUP, and .VOB files. If you have any other file types in the folder, delete them or move them to another folder, then recheck the total file size again.

What is the total size of the VIDEO_TS folder if you remove the extra files?

Are you messing with all kinds of settings ???

I didn't mess with any settings ... I established where everything was located in the proper manner and hit the ... transcode button.

And it took over for me.

After 2 successful encodes ... I did a third one ... I did something different.

I told CCE ... to do 4 pass ... instead of 2 pass .... same results but even more better.

Over a month ago ... I too tried and gave up .... but .... when I had a 3 HR movie ... I was determined to figure it out ... and a new version came out.

    I'm glad I didn't give up. Don't give .... up .... take a break ... it's worth it.

Your system is similar to mine .... you will figure it out.

Start over again .... erase the folders and extract them over again.

I've now dulged into the dual layer market and have great success so far with 3 of my burns, for the type of movies that requires long encoding, dual layer is the way for me, shorter movies conventional methods. Thanx for your assistance throughout.

you must have loads of cash to be using dual layer discs because it's still way too expensive for my wallet. too bad you gave it up because dvdrebuilder is one of the best free software to backup dvds. if you had followed the suggestions that were given to you perhaps it would have worked for you.

I've tried 3 different dvd movies with no success, The same thing happen over and over, the files in video ts folder came out over 10 gig, I followed all the screenshots as well as settings from the guides and still blank. 12 hrs is a long time to guestamate a finish product status. the dual layer disc were 34.99 + tax for 3 disc@ bestbuy witha 30 return. I have done 6 back up so far 3 with decryptor, (of which 2 had problems with layer break) and the other 3 with copy to dvd, flawless so far.
