Hello there
I have two questions:
1) I want to make a dvd that have only one movie about an hour and a half long. I want to build a menu for that movie that when u press on one of the buttons u go to a point in the movie and when u reach another point after about 10 mins u go back automaticly to the main menu. I've tried to do it by cutting the movie to clips and then setting them in DVDLab to go from one to the other when they finish - the result is that each time one clip finishes the dvd freezes for a second and continued! That's not what I want! I want it to go smothly! And also after I set the clips to jump from one to the other - how do I make them to go back to the main menu after they end when u're not chosing to play them all together?
2) Have u seen the butterfly effect DVD? The menu there is great! They've done something that i've never seen before! They have an animation of a butterfly that when u move the mouse over the text the butterfly moves from one text to the other and the animation continues?!!
How did they do that? How can u move something with more then one color from one place to the other without the use of switched menus? And how do u make the animation continues like that?!!
Thanks in advanced!!

I'm not sure about your 2nd question but I think I can help with this. The program that you will want to use is called GUI for DVD Author. Now, when you import your file add a chapter at the point where you want to go to and then where you want to end. After you make all the rest of the menus the way you like, click Create Batch. This will make a bunch of files in your output folder. You will then have to edit your xml file to tell it to go back to the menu. I would pm borax for more info on that, he is more proficient at it than I am. If you want I can try to post the correct changes too, just let me know.1) I want to make a dvd that have only one movie about an hour and a half long. 1. DVD Lab Pro - look at play lists. They will do all that you need.
2. Haven't seen it, so I'll passRead my blog here.

There are a few programs which allow you in import animated buttons that you create. The easiest is probably Ulead DVD Workshop 2. I haven't seen the DVD in question, but my guess would be that they use an animated button and buttons are set to activate on highlight, rather than select. Therefore, when you highlight another button it activates a menu clip which is a movie of the butterfly moving, rather than the butterfly actually moving. Does another button need to be highlighted before the butterfly moves? If so, that is probably it. Sorry if I'm not explaining it well. But, Workshop does not do clips like this well, as they don't tend to be seemless (a noticable jump from clip to clip). Encore does it better, but is still not the best. If your a Mac person, DVD Studio does it very well. I've never tried in Scenarist or Producer from Sonic. Good luck.Originally Posted by NomaD

10x a lot for the answers

I've looked into it and dvd-lab pro does the thing in the first question seemlessly!!!
I've used the options called branch where u can chose it to play one chapter and them come back to the menu! Meaning u only need to cut the one clip into chapters and then u build branches where each branch calls a chapter
It works great and I've only seen it on DVD-Lab Pro!
About the second question - It works great on the butterfly effect DVD - It doesn't jump for a second!!
If any1 knows anything about how u can do it so please tell me
THANKS!!!
