    ok well i had this .mov file that was about 4meg and i converted it to avi now its like 47meg .... how would i compress it?

    Hello,

    Start again with the .mov file and use a smaller bitrate when you convert it. Use divx or xvid and choose a bitrate by using a video bit rate calculator. Look HERE for one. It's found on the tools section to the left .

    If your emailing it you could just email the .mov file. 5 megs shouldn't be too bad even on a dial up. (unless the receiver has a full inbox! ).
