  1. I have a movie that is in XVID format and in two files. The two files overlap for about two to three seconds. I am trying to join them using Virtualdub and save them as an AVI file. I have looked at a few tutorials on how to join two files that overlap like this and follow the steps to do it without success. Can someone either explain to me how to join these files into one seamless file using Virtualdub or point me in the direction of an easy to follow and understand guide on how to do it? Thanks to anyone that can provide me with some assistance on this matter.

    what is the exact problem?

add both xvids, use the start and end to select the part(s) that you want to remove and press delete-button on your keyboard, select Audio->Directstreamcopy and Video->Directstreamcopy and last save it File->Save as.
