  1. I have been given a few DVD DATA DISC with some movies on them, i have dumped them on my pc for converting and burning. The problem is that i can watch them fine on my pc but when i go to convert them to DVD or burn them as a SVCD the screen stays all green. Im using WINAVI to coonvert and NERO6.3 for burning. Can anyone tell me why this is happening, or give me some ideas. THX

My guess is that they are DIVX or XVID and you have the wrong codecs installed. If they are DIVX, try TheFilmMachine, you may have better luck. Run them through AVIcodec or Gspot to see what they are made of.

    Hello,

I agree with redwudz - crappy XviD codecs always caused me green screen!

To EASILY convert my DVDs to DivX AVI I use DrDivX. <- I sequentially rename all VOBs that relate to the ONLY film. I plop the first VOB file in the sequence into Dr.DivX & then a few clicks of the mouse & a 6 hour wait & hey presto it's done. Minimum of f-ing about required!
