    Hi
    I´m a newbie in this.
    Using Sefys great guide i´ve use the following:
    Smartripper->DVD2AVI->TMPGEnc->and then Burn.
    Or I convert divx to mpg using TMPGEnc.
    I works just fine, but how do I get the subtitles? If I use FlaskMPEG insted of TMPGEnc, I can select the subtitles. Whats the best way to get my subtitles in the rip?

    Another one... How do I compress the .mpg file, so it fits on one CD?

    To fit a mpg on 1 CD you have to lower the bitrate. Use a bitrate calculator from the tool section. Rule of thumb, the lower bitrate the worse quality.

  3. The Classical Guide doesn't support subtitles, you should use Flask or DVDx for subtitles, it would be much easier, as for fitting it into a single CD, you can either try using one of my Templates (SeVCD/SxVCD) or like Truman said, use the Bitrate Calculator to reduce the Bitrate per the CD size, but this will reduce quality, if you have an extremly long movie (over 100min), then I would personaly recommand you split it to 2 CD's instead and then boost the quality per CD.
