    I have a DVD copy that will not play on my desktop or laptop's DVD rom
    drives, but plays without a hitch on my stand alone DVD player.

    Any opinions why my computer DVD player will not play it.

    what are you using to play it,

    try using a video player, you'll find a list of them in the tools section

    i use PowerDVD
