coloured cd-r's

can anyone tell me a site where i can buy coloured cd-r's in the uk? not coloured on the top but on the bottom where the data is recorded.

why do you want color CD-Rs some dyes on the color CD-rs are not very good and will wear out very quickly

What brand of CD-Rs do you use to back-up very important data? (and VCDs) ....just curious to see what expert use! (Sefy, Truman...)

If your worried about your DATA get Gold discs, only way to go. There are several sites that teach you all about the different media you can use, I think there's a link to one from gamecopywold.com and probably from http://wwww.clonecd.com

If you really want to archive cds... get cdrs with Metal Azo (i.e. Verbatim) or Taiyo Yuden Cyanine (ie FujiFilm).
And of the Gold ones like Mitsumi or Kodak.

well i use for important data : Verbatim DataLifePlus dye blue or Philips Premium Silver dye blue...but for VCD and other stuff i use Kodak ,Philips Premium Silver

Whoosh25, i'll disappoint you in this area, for one, I hate Kodak and Verbatin, alot of the older CD-ROM's have problems reading them cause of that Metal Azo method.

I Prefer Fuji Film, Philips, and in Israel we have other brands which I don't think you have in the US, such as GPT, ByNet, SilverLine, and a favourite brand of mine which I bought while in Singapore is Platinum, I bought 20 of them, and all 20 work like a charm!, all CDR's I buy are either Gold or Platinum.

How about Imation 16x 700MB CDRs? They come in red spindles/cases...they use gold dye. Have you used them? I think they're great, and not expensive.

I use verbatim data life plus Blue Dye, I mean the DARK blue, I tried the other verbatim with the light blue and my recorder wont take em, it give logical block out of range or something like that, and I also tried the PNY green discs, same result.
Verbatim DLP cds may cost more than other cheaper but I think you get what you pay for.

GO for black CDRs.
For me, they are a miracle.
Since I've been using them, I never saw any glitch nor bad block when playing back SVCds on my TOkai (aka Raite) player. (I'm talking about player decoding errors here, not blocks produced by the encoding process).

Don't hesitate, they work great and burn at any speed without any problem.

Sefy we do have silverline my Cousin is loves them that is the only brand he buys to burn any of his stuff he told me it never gave him probs like the others that why he likes them soo much...well me i only used silverline onetime soo i dont have experiance with them but the work great
