TMPGenc encoding

I have 2 films... one made in lightwave and exported to AVI
other is made in flash also exported to AVI

both AVIs are compressed with the same codec with same settings

I have reencoded both in TMPGenc to MPEG2, then I've tried to merge them also in TMPGenc... but TMPGENC says NOT Compatible with other MPEG....

what the heck .... both encoded to mpeg by tmpgenc....???

anybody experienced the same?

what is the solution??

I tried to reencode them both.. no help...

of course both have the same settings...

16:9, same resolution, same fps... same all

why join them? if you are gonna make a dvd just add both separate when you author.

This need to be foolprof... no chapters...no more movies... no menu...
just one film looping...

but I've solved it since... I needed to reencode the one from lightwave... (strange it did not work first, then I restarted my system and now it works... I'd have a question to BVill Gates... ) that has been already encoded in TMPGenc.... why? don't ask...

but now it works...
