Is there any benefit to eq'ing out the lows in the audio in a video capture and creating an LFE channel with the appropriate frequencies?

Apparently I feel I need even MORE projects!

What are you using to create the mix and do the encoding ? Vegas has a setting to automatically build the LFE for frequencies below a certain point. As most amps have this type of setting anyway, a lot of studio disks don't bother putting much into the LFE, but the let the amp do the work on the fly.

If you are desperate for a new project, perhaps you come up with the definative guide to creating a 5.1 mix a stereo source. There seems to be a need for it.

Didn't want to do 5.1 - Just 2.1. My speakers are little JVC cubes but my sub is a 10" powerhouse so I thought it might be worthwile.
