I have been using the inks from matrixink.com. They are simple. The costco ones work easy as well.

I haven't used the new system, but the only difference in the refill arrangement is the supplied funnels -- the tanks are identical, as is the refill method (shown in his Ebay ad.)
If your current CIS is working without problems I wouldn't be spending that much money for a few cents worth of cheap plastic -- you can do it quite easily with a decent sized syringe or a funnel with a piece of tube attached.
The major fault with the one you have was the cheap-and-nasty 'O' rings in the cartridge outlets, which didn't always seal properly and let air in causing printing problems and, in really bad cases, let ink leak into the printer.
Yours evidently sealed properly -- mine didn't and the whole thing had to be discarded very early in life (about 3 months.)
Having said that, I do like the look of the lightweight and low profile cartridges which should lessen the load on the carriage motor and belt, but I'm less keen on the thinner tubes, which might have problems with ink flow on lesser-used systems. -
Is this the dreaded "ink tank full" message
Parts inside your printer are near the end of their service life. See your printer documentation.
Is there a way around it ?Have a nice Day -
I just began to see this message on my R300 with JLWsales CIS and I run the SSC utility to reset the counter all the time. Will my printer come to a screaching halt some time in the future? It seems that I reset the counter to Zero and the very next print job I run through it it goes back to the huge # it was before resetting. I used to work in the past but not any more. Printer is still printing just fine though. Can I ignore it or is this the begining of the end.

Perhaps there is some sort of software solution ?

mikesbytes: yes.
Just fit an external waste ink container so you don't have any nasty floods, download the SSC utility and use it to reset the counter, then go on your merry way.
If you've not seen how to fit a waste ink tank, go here:-

I think only time is going to answer that -- it's one I've not seen before.
New traps keep turning up in Epson's firmware.
Or maybe you're resetting the wrong counter... -
I'm resetting the same counter I've been resetting for over two years. I also have an external bottle to catch the waste ink. I am not the only that has experienced this lately. I found a couple of others in this mega thread. I have a 25 disk job to print tinight and I am only hoping that it doesn't crao out on me in the middle. The only thing I have expereinced in the last few days is the resseting does not "Take". Normally you reset, it then asks whether the ink waste pad has been replaced, you answers YES and then click the reset button which resets the counter back to zero. This "0" setting only lasts till the very next job which it then jumps back to the huge # it once was. Makes no sense becauses it used to work like a charm. At least these printers are super cheap to replace.

That doesn't look good.
Maybe the eeprom is failing, which isn't unheard of -- they can only be written to but so many times.
I wouldn't think just resetting the ink counter would ever get that far, though (unless it's set up so the counter writes the chip itself instead of the count being held in static RAM -- that could do it (seems a damn silly way to arrange it, but then this is Epson...))
Epson themselves have said these printers have a limited duty cycle (read 'lifetime') and anyone doing big print jobs should buy a more robust model.
Do you have the service manual and program for the printer? (from your post I infer that you have.) -
Well I printed my 25 disk job and then I tried to print a single disk and it craped out. I figured oh well!!! Then I turned off the printer and re started it and nothing doing. It displayed that parts needed servicing. I then reset the counter once again and powered off and then back on and it worked. No more warnings!!! OH YEAH

The pictures are there -- just checked, you probably need to join the forum to see them (in fact I know you do...)
It's well worth being on it, BTW -- especially if you or anyone near you is interested in photography, printing or things related. -
Thanks Guys, have downloaded the software, but can't see how to get it to reset the printer.
Have a nice Day -
You right click the icon that is on your task bar and choose reset protection counter. It will ask whether you changed the waste pass. You say YES. The reset it. I would turn the printer off and then back on

Thanks jtoolman2000, I didn't spot the right click menu. Reset successful.
Now I have 2 choices. Use up my remaining 27 print cartridges and buy a new printer, or fit the waste bottle and buy another batch of 60 cartridges.Have a nice Day -
Fit the waste bottle anyway -- 27 cartridges will chuck enough ink into the pads to give you a nasty flood.
It's a nothing thing to do, and the risk isn't worth taking. -
Some One please help
I need emial address of JLWsale for contact with him.
I bought JLWsale CIS on May-2005 everything working fine, I bought ink refill from him on sept-2005.

born2blove :-
So far as I know, those cartridges don't clog, they're just plain tanks with no foam etc..
Try pulling the affected cartridge and sucking ink though it with a syringe (without needle, of course, and make sure you push it in far enough to lift the valve) until all the air is out (you can pull as much as you like through, just put the ink back into the bottle.)
If this works and the problem recurs after a while, you probably have a bad "O" ring in the cartridge outlet and air is getting in -- the non-transparent beige cartridges JLW's earlier units used were prone to leaks at that point.
Don't over-use the head cleans, you waste too much ink and there's a risk of head damage with prolonged cleaning. -
I just bought the 6 pigment ink refill, and when it arrived today, the black leaked all over the inside of the FedEx envelope (yup I said envelope) it came in. To my surprise not only did the black leak through the silver "Vacuumed Sealed" packaging each pair came in, but the Cyan and Light Cyan also leaked out of their bottles, but not out of the "Vacuumed Sealed" package. Unfortunately, when the cyan leaked it got under the cover of the Magenta thus mixing the 2 colors......I am now waiting for JWSales to respond before I contact Ebay. for $63 you'd think they would atleast tighten the caps on. When I opend them up they were basicallly like opening a bottle cap put on by a 2 yr-old. Hoping JW sends me an entire new refill set, and there is now way I am paying to ship this ruined product back to them......
I was just going to keep the ink as is, until the blue and red mixec rendering the Magenta useless, so now I have to deal with waiting for a reply hopefully soon, other wise I'm filling out one of those damn Ebay complaint forms.......The first time I used JWLSales all was good, bulk system came in a box, neatly wrapped. I hope this was just a one time thing.......What We Do In Life, Echoes In Eternity.... -
Thank you So much Idle I wil stop bystore get the syringe.
But for sure I have question before I do it
first I pull out the bad cartridge and use the syringe to push in ( which location I push in ?) can you point it to me
Pull out the Ink tube and syringe in that location. Is that right
Thank you so much for your help -
born2blove:
No, pull out the cartridge and insert the syringe into the ink outlet in the bottom (where the print-head spike goes in)-- so that you're pulling ink from the CIS bottle through the cartridge.
Hold the cartridge so that the syringe is entering at the highest point (so you get the maximum air out.)
Note it usually takes quite a push to get the nozzle in -- it must go far enough to lift the check valve -- if it doesn't the valve will seal the end of the nozzle and you won't get any ink out.
In case of spills, put an old newspaper or something under the cartridge whilst you do it. -
Idle
If I use syringe push in to suck the air out, that mean ink wil get into the syringe, Is that right ?
I go to buy 1 syringe, but the head to big and short
do they have any special syringe for that.
I emial to JLWsale but take to long to emial back to me.
I think I need new cartrige.

clean head too much run out half ink tank.
do you now how I can got the magenta ink into the magenta catridge with out clean head
can I sue syringe suck the ink form in tank and pump it into the magenta cartridge for tempolary until i got emial from JLWsale. -
Idle thank you for you help
I just done exactly what you show me how to do it.
but it still the same problem.
I just place the order new cartridge from JLWsale about $10
I still have 6 orgional ink cartrige came with epson r200, right now it i took out the JLWset CIS system and let it seat for couple weeks, Is that ok when i am not using JLWsale cartridge for 2 week until I get the new cartridge come in.
now I put 6 origional epson r200 catridge every thing working ok
any Idea how to stop waste ink
I am using SSC service Ultility ver 4.10
please help
thank you -
When you replace a cartridge, it goes thru a charge cycle and uses about 1ml of ink. The problem is that it uses 1ml of ink from each cartridge, so the trick is to replace as more than one cartridge at the same time, if the other cartridges are low on ink anyway.
Otherwise, there isn't a lot that you can do about wasting the ink, just download the software that resets when it tells you to replace the internal pads "you printer requires servicing" and fit an external waste bottle.
Of course with a CIS, the cartridges aren't replaced, so there is less ink waste.Have a nice Day -
born2blove
So long as the CIS carts are not leaking, leaving it sit for a month or so won't do any harm.
The new cartridge will probably fix it -- since the OEM carts work, it looks like you may have had a chip failure (I had one -- the cyan -- fall over in the one I had (still have, actually, it's languishing in a box on the shelf as a reminder to be more careful in future...))
The only way I know to reduce the waste ink amount is to remove the tube (clear tube with green stripe) from the front of the head parking station -- the head cleaning process will continue just the same, but it won't suck any ink through.
Note you must put the tube back and run a head clean now and again (at least once a week, I'd suggest, plus whenever a nozzle check shows any gap(s).
It's a bit fiddly to remove, and if (I'm only telling you that you can -- not recommending it...) you do it be super careful not to damage the spigot it attaches to -- break that and you may as well toss the printer in the bin. -
thank you so much for your help
I am waitting for the new cartridge come in see what happen
right now I using original Epson cartridge came with the pinter. I hope it will last long until I revieved new cartridge. -
Anyone tried this one?

Which do you prefer Dye Ink or Pigment? And why? I had the JWL Dye ink CIS and never had a problem, and print outs looked great to me, just curious about how pigment ink is? This for anyone to answer...
