linfor, I would recommend that you first consider how much your gonna use your printer. If your not gonna use it alot then I recommend refillable carts from here http://cgi.ebay.com/6-T048-Spongeless-CIS-Refillable-Cartridges-with-Chips_W0QQitemZ57...QQcmdZViewItem
If you want another CIS....not caring about re-priming issues then I recommend you E-Mail the owner of this E-bay store. I E-Mailed him awhile ago and he responded that he has parts in stock even if it's not on his web page http://cgi.ebay.com/6-T048-Spongeless-CIS-Refillable-Cartridges-with-Chips_W0QQitemZ57...QQcmdZViewItem

beware of one(1) hole.. "spongless" carts, ...as some people recommend.
the spongless carts cannot be easily refilled without removing the cart and this will cause wear and tear on the delicate pin connectors or connection problems a short circut...when refilling. If you break any pin...... the printer is trashed
I have not seen a 2 hole "spongless" cart available as of yet.If you want a printing headache, use CIS on your printer! -
I have a jwl kits, around 6 month old, and lately i got somes problem with it
The magenta dont seems to drop since i refilled last time, no air in the tube but ink on the bottle doesnt drop after a huge printing, other colour do and i can see line in the red colour on my dvd covers
When i do a nozzle check magenta is not perfect
When i print i can see line in the red colour, i have done a couple of nozzle and let the printer off for around a day off, now it's a little better but the magenta ink is still not dropping at all, and nozzle still not perfect also, what should i do ?
I heard about refillable cartridge it is better than cis i have? how many times can they be refilled ?
I use my printer a lot around 100 dvd covers per weeks and 30 dvd printing so i need something that is cheap and durable
Thanks for the help -
shtrpumf;
my refillables ( http://www.printforless.tk/ ) can be refilled endlessly I suppose. They never leave the machine and auto-reset.
I , myself would not go back to any cis.
Refilling is so easy and I can tell easily when a cart is low. good luck; PoolIf you want a printing headache, use CIS on your printer! -

My guess is your magenta cart is running on empty -- at six months old you've got the old one-tank carts with the dubious seals and it's probably sucking air from the bottom outlet instead of ink from the tube.
Try pulling the cart and priming it -- insert the spike of a clean hypodermic (minus needle) into the bottom outlet as far as it will go and pull ink though until there are no more bubbles (you can put the ink back into the supply bottle.) -
Pool :P ......*$%#Tubes....*%&$ TUBES! JLW*%$@#...Damn cheap carts! :P ....Refillables are better if your not gonna bulk print! Think before your purchase fellow forumist. If your bulk printing then I'd say the system Bidefordboy and Idle has is better than the others. However, if your gonna get a printonadime cis then make sure it has a large capacity(100ml or more). The 40ml is S**t...I have the 40ml....you will need to refill according to the color prints your making. For example: Flesh tones(Like in pics or DVD covers) dominate yellow...alot of these prints will use yellow faster than the other colors so you'll end up refilling that color faster than you anticipate being that other colors will need yellow during the blending process and of course some labels will also have pure yellow text or graphics in addition to the flesh tones. 40ml is the equivilant of two OEM carts or approx. 100 (7.5x10 case labels)Slim case labels as the measurment of CIS systems are counting the ink inside the carts as well as the ink inside the tank not to be confused that the tanks alone are 100ml or 40ml or WHATEVER....(Damn liers!)

thanks for advice idle will try it
what is the system you have idle ?
if it doesnt works should i got with the new version of jwl he offer me at 60us with ink since i already got a kit ?
what is the advantage of a cis over refillables ? -
what is the system you have idle ?
It also has been assembled using the refillable carts, so if I finally decide the tubes are too much hassle I can easily convert it by simply pulling them out and unsealing the air vents.
As to the JLW v6 kit, I very much like what I've seen of it (which is so far confined to the pix on his Ebay pages) and had it come out before I ordered the present one I'd have bought one.
Please note that's ALL I know about it -- so far as I'm aware there have been no reports from users as yet and I've not actually seen one to check its quality -- Hong Kong is rather more than walking distance from here...
At the price you were offered it's certainly worth considering.
I am, however, of the same opinion as Mac and several others on CIS for these printers -- if your printing requirements are low to average, go for refillable auto-reset carts instead and keep them topped up. -
just got my refillable ink carts. at first it was a BIG mess getting all the ink out of the jwl system and in the carts but after that it is the best thing i ever got for my epson. so wires and i only got to refil like 1 a month if that

I wanna be first to say it!!!!!!! Told Ya!.....Just kiddin'....Poolenglish was first to say it... :P

I am really suprised how few times I have had to refill the refillable carts. any cis...., jwl and all others will not get my money any more!
If you want a printing headache, use CIS on your printer! -
I did what I was not supposed to.
I have not used my 1st generation JLW CIS for two months. I know, I know, I should have printed something at least once a week but I could not.
Now, just looking at the tubes, I think I need to perform the vacuum job described earlier in this post.
However, before I do so, the printer requests my black cartridge to be changed (like if it was empty).
Is this a sign of a dead chip? I am surprised that it happened without using the printer.
Thanks -
maybe the Epson "Low ink reminder" is ticked(Checked).....if it say's not reconized then yeah...dead smartchip.
Is what we learn indeed a fact, or someones opinon? -
Thanks mv,
I unchecked the low ink reminder long time ago (pain in the butt) and verified that it was not that.
When I power on the printed, after initial check, the printer stall with both light (green and red) on, not flashing. When I press the low ink indication button, it shows me the black cartridge. I did not receive a "not recognized message".
Where can I see if it is recognized or not?
Thanks -
The Epson monitor on your computer screen would tell you....Just double click it or right click and choose the Epson ink monitor option. You might wanna remove the carts and use a pencil eraser to remove any oxidation from the contacts on the smartchips....Do this by rubbing the eraser across it as if your Erasing a mark....blow on the contacts to rid the particles but donot touch with your hands.( A little technician trick for oxidation)
Is what we learn indeed a fact, or someones opinon? -
Thanks mv.
The black cartridge is not recognized. Tried your trick but it did not work.
With what I have read so far, I will probably change to refillable cartridge (in place). I am not a mass printer but enough to find a cheaper alternative to original/generic cartridge.
Thanks again! -

If you dig far enough at either site you can find the same email addy and phone number but no name or real address. How legit is this site.
After I sent an email, he (Tim) added a paypal for the item I was interested in but the checkout price (before s & h) was higher than the posted price ($71.99 + $24.99 s&h vs $93.?? paypal before s&h).

I have tried to verify that this is a legitimate vender but so far I have not been able to do so. I have exchanged several emails using printforless@verizon.net requesting contact information, I get a timely response but no information as to who or where the vender is.
contact phone # 603 369-3637 he says is a vonage # which means you can not do a reverse search, I tried. Phone calls either only get recored message or a disconnect.
whois search on both printforless.tk and cisprintforless.tk give no results.
While he has a refubished printer and refillable cart set at a reasonable price I do not feel comfortable doing business where you can find no information about the vender. -
How long does long does it take before you need to refill??
Much longer than normal cartridges i assumeDVD region settings are a joke, I can't believe how stupid people are falling for it -

Press the ink exchange button on the printer. Once it moves over press the ink button again. Any carts that are less than 25% should reset.

thanks

Well the ink is finally getting low enough that it is time to either refill or replace my system. I was one of the lucky ones who have not had any serious problems with my kit. I recall that once the yellow didn't print bt a simple head cleaning solved that problem.
I know how Macrovision feels about Jlwsales products
What is the current view of the best product? I would really like to stay with a CIS system since I have grown fond of the "install it and forget it" convenience.
Has anyone setup a consumer poll to see what the best perfomance/value system is? -
Riktar,
I am still using four of these without problems. I have refilled them a couple times as well.
www.matrixink.com
You can also buy it on ebay for $74.99. The sellers name is superseller. He sells them for MatrixInk. I have purchased three from this seller and 1 from think4inc while at a trade show for $100. The CIS kits are identical.

A full set of refill ink is $35 as well from the same seller.
Matter of fact, I am going to be ordering another one for another office of mine this week. -
I had this posted over in the computer section but got no replies. So I'll try again here.
I have the good old R200 printer with the JWLSales CIS Ink kit. I never had a problem with the kit (I have read others problems, but mine ran smoothly everytime). It is getting rather low on ink. I know I can buy refill inks, but I noticed the new kit has a nice easy refill system. I was wondering if anyone purchased the New Version 6 CFS system from JLW?
Here is the kit:
