  1. Has anyone successfully installed Roxio, and if so how did you do it? I have tried twice to install the basic version 7 that comes with a burner, it installs gets to restart but it never does. The computer shuts down, comes back on and locks up and does nothing. I then have to manually shut down by holding the power button, and when it comes back up I have to put on last working configuration to boot up. Anyone know what to do to install corectly? I'm using XP SP1 home edition.

Best solution to Roxio is to not install it.

I used it until I got tired of fighting with my aspi layer and having to keep telling Windows that yes, my optical drives really are still there.

I have Roxio Easy CD Creator 5 Platinum that I use for CD-ing only. It is my favorite CD program and have never had any problem with it either installing or updating to make it work with XP. Then again my Dell computer is one of the most forgiving I have ever had.....your mileage my vary..
I too had to install the aspi layer update and the other one called Driveup(?) but once that was done...I've had no problems....even after I installed my LG4040B DVD Burner. Roxio still recognized the new(at the time) LG Burner with no problems.
