I'm done capturing, I Captured at 720x480 now i want to convert the mpeg 2 to Xvid...
ok, ive read the aspect ratio guide here on this site, But it dosn't go into how to correctly set the video resolutions.
After ive croped the letterbox portion in VDub I now have a resolution of 696x416, when i divide 696 / 416 i get 1.67, but this wasnt listed in the guide.
how can i correctly resize the video so my xvid wont look too streached, but still maintain its widescreen look? whats the procedure?

Crop until you get a 1.66 ratio. It is used in some tv-series/shows and films. Resize then to 640x384 or lower but with 1.66 ratio.
