  1. I was thinking about writing my own program, maybe another GUI for DVD Author. I don't know anything about programming though, where should I look or who should I talk to to get started?
    Thanks,

What language have you considered? There are several that are fairly intuitive, like flavors of Visual Basic and VB.bin.

When I learned VB the first time I used the self-tutorial that came with the VB package. It consisted of lessons and tests. It was a fast-track to learning VB. I recommend that course.

The next level wou;d probably be buying course material from a third party for self-study.

Then you have a course at the local community college, or a training center that caters to businesses in the area. Most offer accelerated courses in programming.

    Good luck, Garibaldi

So Cap, it sounds like Visual Basic and VB.bin are probably the easiest. Where could I download either of them to get started? Are there some on-line tutorials besides the one included?
    Good luck, Garibaldi wink.gif
Thanks, I'm sure I'll' need it!

  5. I was just looking around at download.com and found this:
    http://www.download.com/NetXP/3000-2070_4-10320394.html?tag=lst-0-3
Would this be useful for me once I get Visual Basic, since a GUI might be an easier start?

Looks good. You definitely want that, but I think you ought to try it before you use add-ons.

I mis-typed. It's VB.NET like Stilt mentioned. I don't believe it's freeware. I think it's a purchase-only, but if I'm wrong someone will correct me here. VB is soooo easy to learn.
