I am capturing videos and putting them on DVD. I want to replace the audio on videos that have been edited for content with the original music from my CD's.

How do you replace the audio so that it syncs back up??

I have looked for a guide on the site that explains this, but have not been able to find one yet. Can anybody point me in the right direction.

    Thanks for the help,

    what tools are you using?

personally, I would use Vegas - I would drag the original video, with it's edited audio track, onto the timeline.

I would add another audio track, and put in the cd audio. I would then zoom in to the beginning of both tracks, and nudge the cd audio track so it synchs up with the original audio.

then delete the original audio track and re-render to whatever output format I need.

you should be able to do this with any robust video editing software that supports more than one stereo track of audio.

    Thanks for the quick reply.

Right now I am capturing with Scenalyzer using a Canopus ADVC 100. I then edit it in Virtual Dub and save to *.avi. Then I extract the audio into a wave file using virtual dub. I then use Goldwave to maximize the volume of the audio. I then encode the avi using TmpGenc Express 3.0 for the ES video stream only. I then use TmpGenc DVD author 1.6 to author the dvd adding the new wave file back in and to burn.

I am new at this and open to tweaks and improvements on what I am doing. But with these methods, I am not sure how to move the audio to the right spot to sync it up.
