Camel Lights. I smoked for four years.
It's been almost 8 years since I stopped. If God had intended us not to masturbate he would've made our arms shorter.

It's very similar to a flaccid pack.

Great.
Now will someone please decribe what a soft pack is and
its function? Is it cheaper? Less or more cigs? Better or worse
than the standard carlton?

A pack that's just as good, costs as much, holds as many, serves the same purpose and yet isn't as firm.
What's a carlton?"There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge, and I knew we'd get into that rotten stuff pretty soon." -- Raoul Duke -

My typo. I meant "carton" . If you want multiple
packs you can buy a whole carton.
Carlton is a local football club -
You know, expensive havana cigars smell and taste
like burnt dog shit ! -

Good thread. I like these:
I am a "lights" smoker meaning I don't like nicotine-to-the-brim filled cigarettes because I get very sick if I have too much nicotine. I have a kind of low tolerance to nicotine and although I do enjoy smoking, and often, I have to be careful not to chain smoke cause I can get super-nauseous out of nowhere. This even after years of regular smoking. -
Can't stand cigarettes, they make me sick. However I do smoke tobacco in the form of cigars once every week or two. I work next door to a tobacco shop and get some great deals from them. I've got a 15-stick Armored Humidor that's usually pretty full. My usuals are Ashton Cabinets, occasionally I splurge on Zino Grand Masters and Davidoffs. Also have a selection of Fuentes, Romeo y Juliettas, and Partagas. I'm surprised that a lot of habitual smokers can't handle cigars very well, much like I can't handle cigarettes.

Whatever's good enough for Joe Friday is good enough for me:
Oh yeah, but I don't smoke.... -
rallynavvie, do you smoke them (inhale) or just puff
the smoke around? -
Rally - I'm beginning to think that I was cloned off of you, somehow. We have a lot of the same interests.
I smoke cigars and roll my own cigarettes. A pack of 200 filters and a tub o' tobacco costs me $20. The quality of the tobacco is also much better. After rolling my own, I don't like the taste of any packaged brand. Camels come the closest in taste, but they're still a distant second.
So far, I've tried Samson and Bali tobacco. They're pretty similar. I'd say Samson has more of a "bite," while the Bali is smoother. I smoke the halfzware shag variety. -
My favorite cigarette was the one I smoked seven years ago (I think). Since I put it out, my clothes smell fresher, my hair smells cleaner, and my doctor says I'll live longer since I put it out.

mrtristan - yeah, but I still can't see myself roasting my own coffee, that's a wee bit too hardcore for meFB-DIMM are the real cause of global warming -
I learned an interesting tidbit about nicotine addiction while talking with Cobra on Skype. He s studying biology in college and he informed ne that there are 20 genes that control nicotine addiction. If you have several of these genes, the brain actually grows receptors in response to the nicotine, and doing without it causes well ...we know how miserable that can be.
People without any of the genes can smoke as often or as seldom as they like, never becoming addicted to nicotine ...ever. They can put it down and leave it without a second thought.
The ones with many, say 19 or 20 genes, get hooked after one or two cigarettes, and are hooked for good. The receptors are grown, and the brain then requires the drug.
Judging by my inability to quit and still remain sane, I'd say I'm in the latter group. It didn't take long for me to get hooked at age 14, and staying hooked was effortless :P
