  1. No doubt this is a dumb question and I've spent a long time searcing the site but can't find a direct answer. I'm trying to copy a VCD but both Nero 5 and EZCD 5 say the files are too big to fit on the destination blank CD. Can someone tell me what the heck I have to do to get a copy made? The original VCD is on a 800mb CD-R so I know it will fit. Sorry if this seems a stupid question, and I'm sure there's something very straight forward I've got to do. Any help appreciated.

  2. Hi,

Perhaps the source VCD is overburned. If you dont have a overburn capable burning, you'll just have to find someone who does.
Furthermore, you should not copy the files from the VCD to HD and try to burn, just do a Disccopy in Nero and it should work.

  3. Sorry - that should have read a 700mb CD-R, not 800mb. If you look at the properties of the source VCD, it shows 735mb, therefore the software states the source data is too big to fit on a blank CD-R, yet the source is a 700mb CD-R!

  4. like he said. do a cd copy in nero. don't just drag the files over. u have to make an image of the cd then burn it.

clonecd is good for this too. it's probably better than nero too.
