  1. Hello all...

As everyone can tell from this post, I'm a newbie at this hobby. I've downloaded multiple videos and I would like to burn as many as possible to one DVD and need some direction. Some of the videos are in AVI format and the others are in MPEG format. I'm looking for a program or programs that are user friendly that will allow me to convert the videos to a format that is necessary to burn to a playable DVD. I'm also wanting to create a menu that will allow me the option to view any of the videos that are selected. Any suggestions as to what program(s) or guide(s) to use would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks for everyone's time!!!

  2. TMpgenc, virtualdub and tmpgenc dvd author.

These are the three main ones for editing. Guides for each can be found on the left.

Alternatively you could buy a dvd player that is capable of playing all of the files without editing them.

something like ulead dvd moviefactory or nerovision express, they can convert, edit and author menus. but don't except superb quality. or click on tools and all-in-one dvd converter tools.

Ulead Videostudio can do it all (capture, edit, author DVD), maybe not in the best quality, but it'll get you through the job and you can find other ways when you are comfortable with the process. I'm just not sure about importing MPEG files though. Anyway, you can download the trial to test it.

I personnally do not like it, but you can also try Pinnacle Studio 9 that also does it all. I think they may also have a demo available for testing.
