I would like to know what the diffrence of .BUP and .IFO are please
reason i ask.. when i put in a dvd and rip it, and get only some .BUP files, it always says "ERROR: can not find TS_VIDEO.IFO" and so i thought hmmm what if i rename the .bup files to .ifo
well i did this, and it worked fine.
what i am doing.. will it screw up later on when i burn the back up movie?
Thanks

BUP is the BackUP of the InFO files.
The asnwer explains why it'd work fine.
No, you're not screwing it - all I'd suggest is taking a copy of the BUP before renaming so you have file.bup and file.ifo (essentially the same, except their extensions). There is some corner of a foreign field that is forever England: Telstra Stadium, Sydney, 22/11/2003.
