  1. I have just put XP Pro on my machine and have been burning VCD's great. However a bit of a question about NERO, since I have put XP Pro on I am unable to use the INCD software (Drop & Drag) so went to Nero homepage and downloaded the INCD upgrade and it says it does not work with XP.

So does this mean I am unable now to add stuff to my CDRW's or take things off, so therefore it is really useless. Or format it in a different softwar (easy cd) whoes INCD I understand works on XP??

    Please help.

AFAIK = As Far As I Know
What pvdh means is that Windows XP supports packet writing without additional software. My experience (I tried Windows XP only for a few hours): Windows XP can read InCD discs without additional software, but it cannot write to InCD formatted discs. You can try to format the CDRW disc with Windows XP, and see if drag and drop works. I am interested to hear about the result.

  5. Hi, WinXP does indeed packet write to your favorite CDRW media. Just drag and drop and burn!

I did get a version of incd to work with XP, can't remember the version but it was the one right before the one now out, it did install and write with one bug, after a session the drive will no longer read data from a reg cd or cdr till after reboot.

Thanks for the info, I removed INCD, I have used nero for over 2 years and never liked incd anyway, and xp's packet writing works GREAT!

My opinion of the CD burning capabilities within XP is that it's a piece of junk and a waste of Microsoft's time. Use Nero.

I do use nero for burning, but incd has always been there weakest part, have lost data using it, and also, never liked that you couldn't leave reg cdr's open so you could keep adding data to them, but with XP you have the best of both, you can use cdr's like cdrw's, and use nero for all your other burning needs!!
