  1. Download TMPGEnc Version 2.01 and the vfapi plug in. Zip them both too the same folder, ran tmpgencvfp_install.bat. All that seem to work well but I cann't figure out how to bring up. I been going in to my find folder and doing it that way. When I acess the program all i get is a box for output. What I trying to find out how i can get my video source box to come up. Did I do run install right? I sure a box for previewing must come up but nothing is there. If you can also tell me how i can put this into progam file for easy acess that would be helpful. thank's for the help

You installed it right. I believe you only get a preview screen when you add filters in the advanced tab, or use the mpeg tools (merge and cut, etc).

  3. so u don't know about shortcuts yet?
your start menu must be really messed up... oh the horrors

use find and drag the file from the find window to somewhere in the start menu (anywhere you like e.g program files). u can also right click it and rename it. u have to have win98 or higher for this to work.

go to the library and borrow a book on how to use windows 98. read the manual too.
