  1. Hi there all

I have recently been trying to get up to speed with the How 2's for conversing some of my Xvids and SVCD's to DVD's so I have been reading quite a lot of the tutorials.I followed DJRumpy's AVI to DVD MPEG guide with a 3 CD Xvid and I was so impressed with the results that I wanted to give his SVCD to DVD guide a try.

I found the DVD2AVI 1.76 file which took some time as many places no longer have valid links & I correctly placed the MPEG2DEC3.DLL in AviSynth's plugin folder.

I seem to be having problems when trying to open the avisynth file with any media player including Virtual Dub. All I get is a red message stating "I don't know what""audio" means (c:\Videos\Movie\MOVIE.AVS,line2)" in the WMP window. Same thing happens when I drop the avisynth file into VirtualDubMod.

Here are some screen shots including the 1st one to show that my avisynth is correctly setup:

Can someone explain what I am doing wrong and how to remedy this issue?

    Thanks!

  3. I copy & pasted it from DJRumpy's guide but even when I change it to resample I get the same error.

    Thanks!

    Edit:

Take a very good look at the quotation marks around audio.wav.
    They are the wrong type.
They should be the same as the quotation marks for the video file.

  6. Thank you very much guys.

I guess I won't be copying and pasting from the TUT's again.

LOL...I was just about to uninstall my codecs and Video software and start from scratch to see if that helped.

I guess DJRumpy must have 'copy and pasted' the aud=WAVSource(“audio.wav”) section from a M$Word document since the quotations in notepad are a different format.

Anyway thanks again guys n' gals....Problem solved.
