Anyone ever encounter this type of skip during playback?

Recently I have had a few discs that skipped. Backwards. 2 or more scenes. But it didn't happen again at the same point. I'm just curious what might cause his, and why it would only happen once. FYI, I use a LG DVD-ROM (Device Properties says HL-DT-ST DVD-ROM GDR8162) for reading, Lite-On DVDRW SOHW-812S for recording, CloneDVD2 and my media is Memorex DVD+R 8x. (Too lazy to look up media code) My DVD Player is a Sony, I think the model is DV-PNS425P.

Cheap or bad media is the problem,also get dvd identifier its free and easy and you can get it in the tools section.
