I have just used this program for scanning errors on a data dvd for the first time. I understood that with video that Mpeg data inherhently has errors, read that somewhere.

So I go ahead and scan my first data burn, on a Taiyo Yuden TYG2.

The first scan was all green, one white which is a block that scanned as an error but when rescanned was fine.
    I smiled.

Then I said to myself, one more time.

this time it had several red blocks

I did several discs and the errors ranged from 100-300

I just scanned one, first scan was 330 second was 103

    so what gives?

are there anyother programs for a non-liteon(LG) burner?

Whats with the nero verification, I have never been able to find out what nero does? Is it a waste of time (15 mins on a 12x read)

  2. Try nero tool the cd-dvd speed tool
    Then go to extra
    Then go to Scan disc
    Then check surface scan

Does it give errors on that too?
    Blah, blah, blah
