  1. I am really getting frustrated with this. Nothing seems to work out. Now, I am willing to pay someone to privately help me with this step-by-step. If someone helps me, I will pay about $20.00 via PayPal or money order. I need to encode some AVI (DivX) files. They are about 160MB to 190MB. They are about 23~24 minutes long. I want them to be encoded into MPEG-2 files so that I can use them in DVDit! SE without getting the "Not DVD-legal" notice. I would like them to be good quality. I want to fit about 13 of these files on a 4.7GB DVD.

If you are interested, please e-mail me at shifted90@hotmail.com or leave a post here.

    Thanks,
    Sean

  3. Shifted90,

    Here's how I do it:

    Frameserve the AVI to TMPGEncPlus.

Use the wizard and choose > SVCD FILM NTSC template.

    Motion search - High Quality.
    CQ - 100, 2520 kb/s.
AR - Full Screen Keep A.R.
Do Not Framerate Conversion - Checked
    Leave everything else as is.

After the encoding process is done, you'll have a MPEG file.
De-mux the mpeg using TMPGEnc to just get the m2v file.

Use Goldwave to extract the audio from the original AVI.
Timewarp the wave file to match the duration of the m2v file using Goldwave also.

Convert the finished wave file with Besweet to mp2> 48kh, 224kbs.

    Mux the files with TMPGEncPlus.

If you find the method works for you. Please write the check to : Videohelp.com

P.S. I had tried Pocoder, its day and night comparing to TMPGEnc.

  5. I have this bad habbit of not reading everything in detail...
So you wanted a " DVD-Legal " mpeg, use the 1/4d1 resolution template
in the wizard, which is >DVD NTSC/PAL low resolution< instead.

And under CQ - set the max bitrate to about 3000 and min br to 0.

  6. I am totally confused... So instead of SVCD, I use DVD NTSC/PAL Low Res and that's it?

Also, I was looking for a fast way to do this, because I have about 100+ of these videos. I make team videos as a hobby and I was making DVDs of a few...
