    Does anyone happen to know what format dish network sends their signals? My guess is 352 x 288 6mbits/sec.

    Last time I heard it was 480x480. The bit rate will depend greatly on what channel you're watching. Movie channels use high bit rate, while channels like CNN use low bit rate.
