    Hello,

I know these days there are wireless transmitters for everything. A friend of mine just moved into his new place but the cable plug is out of position.

Is there a device that will wireless transmit the cable signal???? I'm sure there has to be. He was going to check a couple of electronic stores this week but I thought I'd ask here for him.

    Thanks.

Most transmitters i've seen send a composite video signal, not RF. i don't think it would be workable, as you'd need an RF transmission for each station. best he could do is put a cable box there and use a compostie transmitter, but that's be just one channel at a time. or he could split/extend the cable, it's an easy job and coax cable is dirt cheap.

I have a pair 1.2ghz audio/video transmitters that would work for this application. Unfortunately, they are subject to outside interference depending on the location of the sender and receiver.

I used to live in an apartment and had satellite hooked up in one of the upstairs bedrooms. I used these to transmit the signal downstairs to the main tv (as the apartment was wired for analog cable). They worked quite well for the most part. Until someone in the building used a microwave.

Since it is analog cable (I'm assuming), It would be much easier to split the existing connection. Try running it under the floor. If there is no basement, pull off the baseboard trim and hide it behind there.

    Hello,

Thanks guys! Yeah another of his buddies suggested running it under the rug.

I'll pass along the suggestion of the composite video transmitter.
