  1. I'm trying to burn xvcd and svcd's to playback on my new jvc. This is my first attempt at burning vcd's of any kind so bear with me please.

I am using vcdeasy with vcd 1.1 checked. My player seems to like vcd 1.1 better than vcd 2.0. If I try to burn anything with a 2500kbs video rate the player freezes up or goes all pixelated on me. If I drop down to 2200kbs or so it works fine. Is this normal for my player? The manual states it will playback xvcd and svcd's.

I'm using tmpg to convert the files. 720x480 resolution with xvcd and 480x480 with svcd. I really want this thing to work right as the progressive scan picture is awsome and I definitely need a changer. This was the only player that had everything that I wanted all in one package.

    Thanks,

    Tom

  2. Just wanted to add that the xvcd I burned at 2200kbs works 90% of the time. Sometimes the player loads it up and it will not read it at all or the first few seconds are blocky.

I am using Sony CDRW's to burn with. Figured a cdrw would be better since I am trying all kinds of new things. I've probably made about 30 coasters all ready. Would a different brand of cdrw's help?

    Thanks,

    Tom
