What is it called to turn data files into DVD files? I know this sounds like a dumb question, but I don't know the proper term, so I can't do my own searches and such to find answers to some of my questions.

    Thanks for any help.

Well, this guy has offered to trade some old TV shows (in the public domain) with me. He calls them "data discs" and when I asked him what he meant he said they are data files on disc, for playing on the computer, not in a DVD player. So, I want to find out if they are the sort of thing I *could* make into a DVD player DVD.

    - JVC HR-S9911U SVHS VCR
    - Datavideo TBC-1000
    - JVC DR-M10 DVD writer
    - Sony Steadyshot DCR-TRV340 NTSC Digital8 Camcorder

Data could be a lots different video formats but probably avi(divx, xvid) files. Then click on CONVERT.
