    Dear friends,

    I just bought a JVC DR30US DV Cam...and I´m trying to make a capture...but when I open Movie Maker or DVApp I receive this message : "THERE IS NO DV CAMCORDER DEVICES ON THIS SYSTEM".
    But my firewire is properly installed !
    What´s wrong ?

    do you have sp2 installed ?

    try delete the firewire port in explorer and reboot so windows loads it again ..

    latest drivers installed if onboard firewire ?

    try another card and/or device and see if it works

    try another cable

    I´ll test the cable tomorrow at work...and then I know if the cable is corrupted or not.
    I didn´t install SP2...my Firewire is offboard...

    I´ll post a message here after the cable test...

    SP2 fixes some firewire issues on some boards -- i read this on the sony forums
