  1. When I change media in my Sony DW-U14A DVD burner 90% of the time it locks up my computer. I have to power it off with the power button. When it restarts with the media already in the drive it seems to work fine. Sometimes just trying to view the media with windows explorer locks my machine up.

  2. Just in case anybody else comes across the same problem. I uninstalled InCd which is bundled in Nero 6. After uninstalling it the lockups stopped.

    I had the very same problem with a sony DRU500A ...but it only started doing this when i installed record now max (nero and incd were already installed ) i read somewhere that rnm was not compatible with incd so i uninstalled incd and the problem stopped ...... do you have rnm installed as well as incd?
