I have some stuff that I want to send to my family in india (video of my niece) but the files are pretty big. I was wondering...what can I use to compress em small enough to send it through email? I know what you're thinking...why not ship it? Already tried that. The mail system over there sucks and it never got there. Thanks.

    Hello,

If quality doesn't matter divx at 400!!

    EDIT

Actually for email why not use pocket video setting and 352x240 at 500 bitrate?? Give it a try and it might be watchable.

  3. donwload windows media encoder from the microsoft website and encode it with that. It has a number of presets one of which will probably be suitable.

Or you could probably get away with Windows Movie maker, let that encode it for you.
