    I just made a vcd using dvd2svcd, but when i play the picture is all pixelised when there is action in the movie. i was windering if you guyz can help me out which data rate and etc i could use to get rid of this.
    the movie is about 3 hrs. [/i]

    Hi nirbhayn,

    VCD is fixed at 1150 kbps bitrate and, for faster moving scenes, this could well cause pixelation.

    From what I know about VCD, because the bitrate is fixed, I'd say that you're just gonna have to accept - though I'm happy to be proven wrong...

    Could help a little, but I'd suggest doing 2 pass SVCD (or CVD, depending on source resolution) with close to 2000 kbps average bit rate.
