    I have an old monitor and I'm giving it to a friend but the color is way to light on it even with the brightnes turned all the way down, I used this monitor with my daughters computer before that had a Geforce video card so I used the Nvidia program to make it darker but my friend has an older computer with a crappy video card, I really need a free program that will make it darker for them.

    Lookup a program called I THINK powerstrip. Its a PC app that lets you control this stuff. I dont know a freeware solution.

    Monitors have a brightness & focus knob on the back that you can turn. Sometimes its inside & on the back but most old ones have them on the back outside or under a door.

    it's a HP P1110 21 inch, I guess there are alot of people with the same problem.

    I just hooked it up to my computer and used a program called QuickGamma and it helped alot.
