  1. Hello

    Is there anyone can help.

Both myself and my brother-in-law purchasade some Mirror 2X DVD-R discs last year and recorded ( both on PC and stand alone DVD recorders -- panasonic e50(stand alone ) and pioneer 105 DVD/RW. ALL discs have been watched in the past on a number of occasions but noew when we try to watch a disc it is unrecognised in ANY dvd player ( PC or stand alone). We now have about 100 discs that are unplayable( unrecognised ) even though as i said they have been viewed before.

Anyone any ideas what has happened and are the programmes / films etc recoverable ?

    thanks

from what i read it seems the discs are crappy discs (100 discs unrecognized WOW).
but this doesnt mean you will be unable to view them or retrieve the info on them. try more standalone players and dvd drives, you are bound to find one that will recognize them. what drives other than the pioneer did you test on?
my advice is, the minute you find a pc drive that works back these soccers up on good media (TY or jap. maxell).

  4. like ice-berg says,they are shite media.
the dye is poor,on par with bulpaq tango and princo crap.
stick to better media in future, like ritek, and TY,or even the datawrite grey 8speed fuji03 dye dvd-rs are great

the mirror 4x media are fine ....but the 2x that you have are utter rubbish ..... as suggested try other dvd roms to see if u can retrieve the files and back them up on better media (ritek are superior) if you cannot get access to the files then i'm afraid they are lost forever
