  1. Hi guys,

I´m looking for a customized DVD authoring program to author a slideshow of my digital photos. It must have the following:

    1. Zoom and transitions capability of the pictures

    2. Text effect support. I have tryed some with no text effects, they all allow only static text.

The only one that has text effects is Mediashow from Cyberlink but unfortunately is does not zoom the fotos. Please help.

    Thank you!

It might help if you list what you have looked at so far. MemoriesonTV seems to be popular around here, although I don't know how strongs it's text handling is.

My choice, based on your requirements, would be an editing app like Vegas or Premiere, or a motion graphics app like After Effects. All of these are really overkill, but would give you all the tools you need.

  3. Thanks guns!

I have looked MOTV, PHOTO2DVD, Cyberlink Mediashow, etc. All these guys have one or other effect does not have both same time (this was my requirements on the original first message).

The only program I found (just today) is Proshow Gold, very powerfull.

I own VS7, it can be done with some tricks but it a very hard work to do it. Proshow is very a kind expensive but it has a lot of option to share the slide shows: VCD/SVCD/DVD, .exe file, screen saver, mpeg file, web sileshow, etc.

I am digging out to find something cheaper around $50. Proshow Gold is $70.

I thought VS7 would be the easiest way to go I know of. You have numerous transitions, animated text, use the Cropping filter to zoom in on any slide you want. May I ask what makes it so hard to use?

  5. Ulead VideoStudeo 8 works wonderfully for this. They have a trial at www.ulead.com for you to test it out.

  7. Hi guys,

I just saw a problem with Videostudio 7. The result footage seams to jump while the image in zooming in or out. I have used the crop function following this guide: https://www.videohelp.com/forum/archive/t183096.html

I also downloaded the Media Studio Pro from Ulead website and the same happens here. The results is ugly enough.

Please let me know which functions are you using on Videostudio.

    Thank you all!

  8. I haven't tried it yet, but noticed last night that dvdSanta lets you create a DVD from photos (add music, zoom, crop, etc).
