    how do i convert an avi or mpg file to a dat file?

    just encode the avi file to mpeg then burn it as a VCD and the software will turn it has a dat file for you ..wasnt that easy

    i tried that already.unsuccessful.plus my esy cd creator would only burn as an mpeg and cant play on my player

    do you have the VCdmaker option on Easy CD...if you dont download the Deluxe version of your version....did yours came bundled with your burner...that explains it just update to deluxe ..okay
